Gaspipe's weapons of choice...as of late, I've been thinning the herd, selling off many of my 30+ bikes. I'm down to about 25 bikes now. I recently sold my Husqvarna WR250, G650X, and my XR650R.
2007 KTM 950R Super Enduro I was so impressed with the 950S Adventure that I bought myself an '07 950 Super Enduro. Modifications: De-smogged & rejetted, Neptune muffler, Emig Racing billet triple clamps, risers and steering damper, Moose handguards, CJ Racer rear rack and clutch master cylinder, BlackDog Cycleworks skid plate, one off Dirt Bagz brackets, gaspipe built rear master cylinder guard, Seal Savers, Malcolm Smith/Touratech GPS mount. I also installed a Rekluse Pro autoclutch. The Neptunes are awesome, and I've since swapped over to a 2-1 exhaust manifold - and am running that through a single Neptune. Why? In order to use a modified Baja Designs rear tank for additional fuel. That tank was made by my friend Berg Briggs, and holds about 1.7 extra gallons of fuel. I now have a little over 5 gallons of useable fuel - about 200 miles' worth at cruise, about 150 miles at typical offroad pace.
Oh, the power......... | 2002 Honda RC51 I wonder what I'm doing here....? I don't like to spend much time on the asphalt, but this machine drew me in like a moth to fire.
Not exactly sure what I'm going to do with it. Maybe for sale??? $7,000.00 USD FIRM.

2005 KTM 450 EXC I bought this bike used. It was a low hour bike, but not particularly well taken care of. This one is an '05 model. Most of the suspension bearings have been replaced or repacked with grease, and new seals applied. It has WP4860 forks with .50kg/mm fork springs and special Bruce's Suspension.com Terrain Tamer modifications, a revalved and resprung (10kg/mm) rear shock, modified JD jetting, Emig 22mm offset triple clamps, handguards, bar risers and steering damper, UFO LED rear light, heavy duty spokes, Excel wheels with Eagle hubs, Rekluse auto clutch, 14/50 gearing (steel rear sprocket), and more. The suspension on this bike is fantastic. By adding a 6.6 gallon Acerbis tank, it makes a great Baja machine. The next stage of evolution for this bike is fitting the rally components from Jonah Street's ex-Dakar racer. The 660 rally tanks, fairing, etc, will make the EXC the next long range adventurer for me. Mike Skaggs is building me a stroker motor to pull it along. |
1995 KTM 550M/XC I just finished updating this bike. This monster is 548cc's of ported two stroke animal breathing through a Moto Tassinari reed cage and a DynoPort exhaust, and also modernized a bit with an Ohlins rear shock, 20mm offset Emig billet clamps and steering damper, WP 4860 SX forks, Excel wheels (21" front, 19" rear), wave rotors, Cycra handguards, Pastrana bend bar, '03 SX brake master & caliper, Enduro Engineering skid plate, 15/48 Ironman gearing, and a Guts Racing seat. Scary, scary fast. |
| 1974 CL360 What the heck am I doing here? Good question. So far, the bike is undergoing only some basic modification based on reliability and to attempt to update the suspension with slightly beefier units, and perhaps shed a few lbs and simplify the machine.. The motor will remain internally as it came from the factory for now, as it only has 2,500 miles on it. I'm searching for a cam chain slipper, as this is really the weak point of the engine. I might have to make one. I've sourced an electronic ignition from Australia, and snagged a set of Mikuni VM32 carbs. Some minor muffler mods, and that'll be good enough for this motor. I might be able to actually make close to the 33 claimed HP when I'm done.. The suspension is pretty horrible. The factory shocks really stink, so they've been replaced with a set of 13" Redwings intended for a CB750.. Where will I go on this relic? I have something in mind.... |
1983 Husqvarna 500XC Among the last of the twin shock, air cooled open class desert bikes. The XC bikes had the CR class power, but with a wide ratio six speed transmission. It has Ohlins ITC rear suspension, a freshly powdercoated frame, new plastics, new cables, rebuilt forks, rebuilt motor, etc. Back to the days of big hair, castor oil, and no brakes. |
| 1988 Suzuki DR750S Can you say big bore? This beast has long legs. It's a lot like a KLR in the way it functions, but the motor is quite a bit more powerful. It has 750cc's of thumper power breathing through a custom airbox and Staintune exhaust, custom ground Shadbolt cam, custom LED lighting, gel seat. These were never imported into the USA. I think there were about 30 +/- imported into Canada. Plans include updating the triple clamps with billet ones, and swapping out the ancient damper rod forks for long travel cartridge Marzocchi 45mm USD units. I need to have a custom remote reservoir shock made for the back. Once I get that dialed in, she's going for a loooong adventure somewhere. |
2004 Gasgas 300EC Coming soon! Many modifications are being done to this bike also!
